Input Opportunity – Calabasas 2023 Emergency Operations Plan Public Review Draft

EOP Plan - Part 1

EOP Plan - Part 2

The City of Calabasas has been working to update its 2012 Emergency Operations Plan. The public review draft of the 2023 Calabasas Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is now available for comments, edits, and feedback until Thursday March 16, 2023.

The EOP is Calabasas’ primary emergency operations guidance document.

  • It establishes the Emergency Management Organization required to mitigate any significant emergency or disaster affecting the city.

  • Identifies the roles and responsibilities required to protect the health and safety of city residents, public and private property, and the environment, due to natural or human-caused emergency disasters.

  • Establishes the operational concepts associated with a field response to emergencies, the City’s Emergency Operation Center (EOC) activities and the recovery process.

Submitting Comments:

Review Tip: This plan provides a framework and guidance for the City of Calabasas and their partners when responding to emergencies and disasters. It is not intended to guide day-to-day events nor to be a field level tactical document. The EOP is based on a template developed specifically for local jurisdictions to use in Los Angeles County and customized for the City of Calabasas.

Calabasas Point of Contact: For any issues accessing the draft EOP or providing feedback, please contact dlarson@cityofcalabasas.com
