Free home ignition zone evaluations for all residents from EPIC-FSC or the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains (RCDSMM). A home evaluation is a 45-minute review of the vulnerability of the house and the landscape to wildfire and ember-ignition.

Of the various Home Hardening methods referenced, replacing a roof, changing windows, and deck repairs, would also require building permits.
