Outreach is conducted within 24 hours of receiving a Homeless Outreach Request.

Outreach workers have many different skills including homeless services navigation, mental health first aid, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care, among others. Teams start by building a trusting relationship with an unhoused individual, which is followed by conducting an assessment of the person’s needs. After continued engagement over a period of time, the goal of outreach is to connect the individual with interim or permanent housing.

The City is required by law to protect the privacy of those we serve, and for this reason, we are unable to share updates. However, if you agree to be contacted, we may reach out to you to ask additional questions that will help us locate and connect with the person referred.
