4/3/2019 – Updated Project Description
The project proposal has been updated to the following: remodel and addition of approximately 11,531 square feet to an existing 44.1 foot-high, 28,966 square foot Audi Calabasas auto dealership. The project also includes a revised site configuration, relocation of both the entry driveway and an access driveway to a rear parking area, expansion of the showroom and offices, expansion of the service department, rooftop parking over the service department with a parking ramp for access, new retaining walls, landscaping, and lighting. The project site is located at 24650 Calabasas Road, approximately 475 feet east of the Calabasas Road/Mureau Road intersection, within the Commercial Limited (CL) zoning district, the Scenic Corridor (SC) Overlay Zone, within the Commercial Automobile Retail (CAR) Overlay Zone, and within the West Calabasas Road Master Plan area. The submitted applications include a Site Plan Review, Scenic Corridor Permit, Oak Tree Permit, and Variance. The requested Variance application is to exceed the 35 foot height limit to a maximum height of 44.1 feet consistent with the height of the existing auto dealership.
On December 22, 2017, Audi of Calabasas submitted applications for a Site Plan Review, Scenic Corridor Permit, Variance and Oak Tree Permit to remodel and add approximately 111,608 square feet to the existing 44.1 foot-high, 35,058 square foot Audi Calabasas auto dealership. The site is located approximately 475 east of the Calabasas Road/Mureau Road intersection within the Commercial Limited (CL) zoning district, the Scenic Corridor (SC) Overlay Zone, within the Commercial Automobile Retail (CAR) Overlay Zone, and within the West Calabasas Road Master Plan area. The requested variance is to exceed the 35 foot height limit to a maximum height of 44.1 feet consistent with the height of the existing auto dealership.
