Film permits are required for any production filming or still shoots within the Calabasas City limits.

The City of Calabasas Community Viewer GIS can be used to determine whether the proposed site is within Calabasas City limits. http://maps.digitalmapcentral.com/production/VECommunityView/cities/Calabasas/index.aspx

Filming permit application processing can take 3-5 business days depending on the scope of the production and other regulatory agency approvals. Once an application has been submitted, all film permits will be required to apply for a separate permit through the LA County Fire Prevention Division.

If your project involves the use of public right-of-way (streets, sidewalks, etc.), then please allow 2-3 weeks for processing in case public safety agencies need to review the film permit application.

For more information, contact the City at (818) 224-1712.
