City of Calabasas – CDBG Funded Assistance Programs
The City of Calabasas utilizes Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to provide housing rehabilitation and public service programs to serve the needs of its low- and moderate-income residents. Participation is based on income eligibility limitations and additional program requirements apply. Assistance is provided only for Calabasas residents and properties. Funding is limited, and provided on a first come, first served basis.
Residential Rehabilitation Program
The Residential Rehabilitation program provides financial assistance for the repair of single family residential properties, including mobile homes. Funds are available for direct grants starting at $7,500, and deferred zero percent interest loans of up to $15,000, depending upon housing type and needs. A wide range of exterior and interior repairs are eligible for funding including plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, ADA ramps and upgrades.
