LAS VIRGENES CREEK TOUR
On Saturday, January 20th at 10:00 a.m., join City of Calabasas engineers for a tour of the Las Virgenes Creek to discuss past and future projects as well as placing our creek in the broader context of the North Santa Monica Bay Watershed.
We will begin with a short 10-minute presentation at the gazebo before beginning the walking portion of the tour along the Las Virgenes Trail to Agoura Road (1.5 miles one-way) where the tour will conclude. A City Shuttle will be provided at Agoura Road for those not wishing to walk back.

ANNUAL CALABASAS CITY COUNCIL REORGANIZATION
On Wednesday, December 13th, the Calabasas City Council held its annual reorganization meeting at which Alicia Weintraub was named Mayor and Peter Kraut was installed as Mayor pro Tem.
Every year, the Mayor is selected by the City Council from one of its members for a one-year term, and serves as the official representative of the City for all legislative and ceremonial purposes. The Mayor is the presiding officer at City Council meetings and executes legal instruments and documents. In the event of the Mayor’s absence, the Mayor pro Tem fills the role until the Mayor returns.
BODY POSITIVITY FAIR
On Saturday, February 3rd from 9 a.m. - 2p.m., the Mayor’s Youth Council will be hosting a Body Positivity Fair at the City Hall Plaza outside the Calabasas Library featuring great informational workshops, body-positive activities, professional speakers, food, crafts, live music, and more! We hope to see you there!

2024 RECYCLING CALENDARS ARE AVAILABLE!
2024 Recycling Calendars are out! Find them at Calabasas City Hall, the Library, Senior Center, Rite Aid, Gelsons, Erewhon, and Trader Joes. The winners of this year’s contest will speak on the importance of recycling and what they do to recycle at the Environmental Commission’s December 5th meeting. Congratulations to all who participated!
TECH HELP AT THE SENIOR CENTER
The Senior Center’s Tech Help program has been recognized in the Technology, Virtual, and Hybrid Programing category by the annual Programs of Excellence contest, hosted by the National Council on Aging and the National Institute of Senior Centers.
Tech Help is free and takes place on Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. on a drop-in basis, no appointment needed. Community high school students help seniors improve their skills on cell phones, laptops, iPads and tablets.

CALABASAS TENNIS & SWIM CENTER RENTALS
The Calabasas Tennis & Swim Center is looking forward to hosting your next event. The center has a country club feel, but with budget friendly prices. The Center offers two intimate rooms and a beautiful patio overlooking the tennis courts for your private event. The staff provides the absolute best service for every event: birthday parties, graduations, school/team parties and retirement parties. In addition, the Center has catering services to offer our guests. Kathy Milbrand, our Event Coordinator will be happy to discuss all of your party needs (818) 222-2782 x 124.

CALABASAS CALENDARS, MEETINGS & HOLIDAYS
City Hall will be closed Monday, January 1st in observance of New Year's Eve.
Council Agenda Items are available online the Wednesday prior to a City Council Meeting. Agendas for all commissions are available online the Friday prior to the commission meeting. All City Council meetings and commission meetings take place in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 100 Civic Center Way in Calabasas.
