CITY'S ANNUAL PAVEMENT RESURFACING PROJECT WRAPS UP THIS AUGUST
Public Works, Engineering Division
August marks the end of summer break for students and the end of the City’s Annual Pavement Resurfacing Project. This year, the City is resurfacing segments of Las Virgenes Road, Park Capri, Clover Trail, Daisy Trail, Locust Drive, and a segment of Canyon Drive in the Highlands. The roads were cold-milled (the grinding and removal process) and repaved with new hot mix asphalt concrete. The work also includes the installation of new asphalt concrete berms in areas where there is no concrete curb and gutter and the installation of new traffic striping. All work is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2024/25 school year.
In addition, the City will add curb extensions and a raised crosswalk on Parkville Road. This will provide the residents of Saratoga Ranch a safer way to walk to Grape Arbor Park and enjoy the beautiful weather of Calabasas.
If you have any questions regarding the project, please feel free to contact the City's Assistant Engineer, Tra’a Bezdecny at TBezdecny@cityofcalabasas.com.
