Meetings
The Traffic & Transportation Commission meets quarterly (January, April, July, October) on the 4th Tuesday of the month, at 6:00pm in the Council Chambers (subject to change).
All documents submitted to the City, including emails related to the public's business, are generally public records, absent a specific exception as articulated under State law, and could be posted on the City’s website and otherwise made available to the public.

Application to Serve on the Commission
Commission Profile
This Commission consists of five voting members who are residents of the city, electors during their respective terms of office and appointed by a majority vote of the City Council for a term of 2 years. Resident Commissioners are selected from their special familiarity with traffic and transportation problems and issues within the City of Calabasas.
The purpose of the Commission is to act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in matters pertaining to traffic and transportation. The objectives of the Commission are:
- Meet with citizens to discuss traffic concerns originating by or through the City Council, Planning Commission, Traffic and Transportation Commission, general public or City staff
- Assist in determining the overall goals of the community with regard to traffic and circulation
- Investigate and make recommendation to the City Council regarding traffic control devices, including, but not limited to, traffic signals, traffic signage, traffic striping and other appropriate traffic control devices within the City of Calabasas.
Membership
- The commission shall consist of five (5) members who shall be lawful residents of the city and electors during their respective terms of office.
- Commissioners nominated by individual councilmembers shall have a term lasting for the lesser of two (2) years or until the expiration of the term of the councilmember who nominated that commissioner. Notwithstanding the expiration of a term, a commissioner shall continue until his or her successor has been appointed.
- If a vacancy occurs other than by expiration of a term, a new commissioner shall be appointed in the manner as set forth in this section and shall serve the unexpired portion of the term.
- The commission may appoint or reappoint a high school student lawfully resident in the city as a nonvoting commissioner for a one-year term.
Compensation
The commissioners shall serve without compensation, but may receive reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses incurred in connection with the performance of their duties. No expense of any kind shall be incurred by the commission or any commissioner, unless first authorized and approved by the city council.
