The Community Development Director will hold a public hearing on the below described project on July 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM via video/teleconference. This meeting is being conducted utilizing teleconferencing and electronic means consistent with Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-29-20, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order, the public may participate in the meeting using the following steps:

For citizens wishing to address the Director on any matter not on the agenda.

Written testimony may be submitted via email, or by U.S. mail to the staff.   Written correspondence should be presented on letter size paper (8 ½” by 11”).  Written correspondence delivered at least eight (8) days prior to the scheduled hearing date will be included in the packet for and available to the Community Development Director in advance of the hearing; written correspondence delivered less than eight (8) days before the scheduled hearing date will be provided to the Community Development Director at the hearing. City Hall is currently closed to the public. Please call or email the staff identified below, at least one (1) business day in advance to arrange to view project files.  Files are not available for review the day of the hearing.  Please note that all written correspondence submitted to the Department will become City property and will not be returned.  Furthermore, the City, at its sole discretion, may post all written correspondence on the City’s website.

Public Hearing Item(s):

1.  File No APR-2020-004.    Request for an Administrative Plan Review Permit to construct a 668 sf first floor addition to an existing one-story single-family residence, 12 sf addition to the existing garage, and interior improvements on a legal non-conforming lot located at 23703 Park Madrid (APN: 2069-002-033), within the Residential, Single-Family (RS) zoning district.  Note that this project is reduced from a previously approved project (4,560 sf new house). The project is exempt from environmental review in accordance with Section 21084 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) of the CEQA Guidelines.

If you wish to appeal any decision of the Community Development Director, you must do so within ten (10) days of the Community Development Director action. Please contact the Community Development Department for information regarding the appeal process. If you challenge any action of the Community Development Director in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Director at, or prior to, the public hearing. A copy of the Community Development Director Hearing agenda packet, staff reports and supporting documents and any materials related to an item on this Agenda submitted to the Community Development Director’s Hearing after distribution of the agenda packet are available for review by the public in the Community Development Department located at Calabasas City Hall, 100 Civic Center Way. City Hall office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. every Friday.
