Project Description:
The City of Calabasas is starting construction of a green street project that will begin north of Mont Calabasas Rd and end at the terminus of Las Virgenes Rd. This project will improve the west side of Las Virgenes Road by providing street parking and parking lots, construction of a multipurpose trail, implementing elements of environmentally friendly green projects through the construction of vegetated swales, stormwater treatment improvements, and mitigation of storm runoff overflow in the street. The project also includes safety improvements for pedestrians by constructing concrete sidewalk and mid-block crossings.
The project will be completed in three phases to accommodate residential parking throughout the entire duration of the project. The anticipated construction start date is September 5th, starting at 7 AM.
