On March 15, 2006, an
application was submitted for a Conditional Use Permit, Site Plan
Review, Oak Tree Permit, and Tentative Tract Map to construct a
60-unit senior condominium development, the first in Calabasas,
within the CB (Commercial-Business Park) Zoning District.
The
Spanish Colonial Revival design consisted of a three-story building
over a one level subterranean parking structure, with an adjacent
one-story community building and pool. The site, located at the
eastern terminus of Malibu Hills Road is situated between commercial
and residential properties.
The project was approved by the
Planning Commission in June 2006 and City Council in July 2006.
The project broke ground in May 2012. Completion is anticipated in
Fall 2013. |
