Schedule (PDF)
The 2011 Annual Citywide Resurfacing Project
includes road resurfacing in the Saratoga Hills and Saratoga Ranch
communities. All streets in the area, including Canwood Street and
Parkville Road, will receive a FiberMat w/Type II Slurry pavement
treatment with preliminary roadway preparation by crack sealing.
Mulholland Hwy from Old Topanga Canyon Road to the South City limit
will be microsurfaced. Mulholland Hwy from Paul Revere Rd to
Eddingham Ave is scheduled for base repairs and a microsurfacing top
course.
Three other locations include sections of Lost
Hills Road from Agoura Road to Cold Springs Street, Park Mirasol,
and Las Virgenes Road from Thousand Oaks Blvd to 900' north of
Thousand Oaks Blvd. The project will use Asphalt Rubberized Hot Mix
(ARHM), which is proven to be very effective in residential areas.
ARHM elongates the lifespan of roads and provides a suitable surface
for cars to drive on. Some benefits of ARHM are: increased
elasticity and resilience at high temperatures; improved durability;
improved resistance to fatigue/reflection cracking due to higher
binder contents; and significant reduction in traffic noise.
Please be advised of traffic delays on Mulholland
Highway later this and earlier next week. Work on section between
Old Topanga Canyon Road and the Southern City limit has been
rescheduled to October 7th, 10th and 11th due the chance of rain on
Thursday, October 6th.
