Calabasas
emergency and risk management programs are now under the command of
Jim Jordan, our Director of Public
Safety & Emergency Preparedness.
Jim is a former Captain in the Los Angeles County Fire Department and brings
his extensive emergency preparedness knowledge and experience to Calabasas.
Calabasas offers residents
peace of mind that the City is prepared for emergencies and, as evidenced by
the
emergencies, that City
Hall will supplement the efforts of fire and police on a 24 hour a day basis
during local emergencies with frequently updated information on CTV, the
Calabasas website, and on Calabasas radio AM 1630. Connect-CTY is our
city-to-resident communications service. With
Connect-CTY,
our administrators can send periodic and personalized voice messages to
residents within minutes.

The City is pleased to
have first rate emergency organizations in Calabasas such as the newly
created
Calabasas
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
The City also recently created and distributed an extensive
Calabasas Emergency Preparedness Guide
to all Calabasas residents.
