***The Calabasas Library is Moving***

OPEN FOR BUSINESS AT OUR NEW LOCATION
JULY 15, 2008

The Calabasas Library Park Sorrento location was closed at 9pm on Thursday, June 26, 2008 in order to move into our brand new 25,000 square foot facility. The Calabasas Library will re-open for regular business hours at 200 Civic Center Way (part of the new Calabasas Civic Center) on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 10am. 

Please visit the Library Open House on Sunday, July 13, 2008 as part of the Calabasas Civic Center Grand Opening!

Join the 2008 Summer Reading Program
at the Calabasas Library!
July 19 through August 17

All shows are on Wednesdays at 4pm.

Read books and come into the library each week for incentives.
We will have drawings at the end of the summer for great prizes.
Special events for elementary school students – Kindergarten through the 5th grade.

July 23 The Magic of Tony Daniels – Tony will perform his entertaining and comical magic show!
July 30 Gary Francisco’s Wild West Show – Gary will transport you back to the cowboys days with fun music and stories from the Old West.
August 6 Togen Daiko – Japanese Taiko drummers will share their history and music.
August 13 The Wildlife Company – Animals of all shapes and kinds visit the library.

Calabasas Library Summer Adult Program

Join us for a Green Garden presentation by Lili Singer of the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wild Flowers & Native Plants.  Lili’s program highlights easy to grow, drought resistant native plants that will add new dimensions of beauty and enjoyment to your landscape, including:

    Library 2004-2005 Annual Report

Library services are provided to Calabasas residents. The Library was taken over from Los Angeles County by the City of Calabasas and officially became the Calabasas Library on July 11, 1998.

The Calabasas Library is located in a 12,000 square foot space, on the first floor at 23975 Park Sorrento, Calabasas, CA 91302. There are separate computer, periodical and children's rooms, also a large conference room is available for your meetings, by appointment only.

The Friends of the Calabasas Library are a volunteer group of citizens that organize events for the Calabasas residents to enjoy.  The Friends of the Calabasas Library meet at the library on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30pm.

The Calabasas Library now has Morningstar Mutual Funds.  Morningstar is the most-trusted and most-often-cited source of unbiased mutual fund information. And Morningstar Mutual Funds is the most comprehensive and authoritative resource for evaluating, comparing and choosing mutual funds.
