The City of Calabasas hosted a blood drive in honor of 12 year-old Calabasas resident and 2008 Citizen of the Year Kevin Cordasco on Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Thanks to the  high level of interest and support from the community, the blood drive, which took place within Founders Hall in the Calabasas Library, was a huge success. 

Kevin, who in March 2007 was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma, has bravely battled cancer and worked to raise awareness of the disease.  The City was honored to host this blood drive for Kevin.  Appointments for the blood drive were scheduled every 20 minutes with up to 4 people donating at the same time.
