An appeal of the Community Development Director’s decision to deny a
project application for the removal of one (1) heritage oak tree.
Staff’s recommendation of denial for the proposed project did not
require CEQA review. If the Planning Commission elects to uphold the
appeal, CEQA review, including preparation of an Initial Study,
would be required prior to final approval.(Staff is requesting a
continuance on this item).

A request for a Sign Program and Minor Scenic Corridor Permit to
adopt a new Sign Program in order to accommodate the installation of
two (2) fiberglass replica Mini cars on the front elevation of an
existing auto dealership, located at 24400 Calabasas Road within the
Commercial Retail (CR) zoning district and Scenic Corridor overlay
zone. The City's staff has determined that the project is exempt
from environmental review in accordance with Section 21084 of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and Section 15301 (Class
1 Existing Facilities (e) Additions) and Section 15303 (Class 3 New
Construction or Conversion of Small Structures (e) Accessory
Structures) of the CEQA Guidelines.

A General Plan Amendment and pre-zoning of the proposed annexation
territory known as Craftsman’s Corner, located adjacent to and
immediately north of the City of Calabasas. Although the territory
was already included in the Calabasas 2030 General Plan, the General
Plan Amendment is necessary to correct a mapping error and modify
the land use designations for four properties to better align
planned land uses with existing and entitled uses on the properties.
The pre-zoning will tentatively establish the zoning districts for
the affected properties consistent with the policies of the
Calabasas 2030 General Plan. Until such time that the Local Agency
Formation Commission of Los Angeles County would approve and certify
annexation of the territory, Los Angeles County zoning presently in
place will continue to apply to all properties in the territory and
be administered by the Los Angeles County Department of Regional
Planning. Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) and the CEQA Guidelines, a Second Addendum to the Calabasas
2030 General Plan EIR has been prepared for the project, which
indicates that the project will not have a significant impact on the

Agenda submitted to the Planning Commission after distribution of
the agenda packet are available for review by the public in the
Community Development Department located at Calabasas City Hall, 100
Civic Center Way. City Hall office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.,
Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. every Friday. If
